What to do for keeping your dryer safe and your clothes dryer running well for years? Follow these steps:

(1) wash the lint filter with hot soapy water and an old toothbrush at least every 6 months.

(2) Make sure that your dryer vent does not have too many bends or does not have to travel too far to the outside of your home (3 feet is best). When it comes to dryer vents, shorter and straighter is better.

(3) It crushes the venting material, reduce airflow, and build up lint when putting a dryer directly against a wall. Ideally, give at least 2 feet between your dryer and the wall.
